It's November already & the weather's taking
a dramatic change, the Autumn colours are here. The leaves are now starting
to shed and by the next good blow of wind, there will be nothing left.
The Stag Stalking season was slow to start because of the weather, rain,
mist, rain, mist & more rain. We were begin-ing to sprout "fins",
it was that bad but it eased near the end of September.
The new Pier is in full swing, the outer end of piling is completed, they
will now pump it out & in-fill with concrete in the very near future.
The works have gone pretty well but I think they're still a few weeks
behind schedule.
I've included a picture taken earlier in the build up, this will give
you an idea of the scale of the construction and it also reminds me of
the ONE good day of weather we had this season.
The Old Forge has gone fashionable or should I say, the same as everywhere
else by introducing a Pool Table for the winter season. No more the sociable
chatting climate that the landlord used to strive for ! Ian did say that
it was under protest.
Jacqui (Mrs. Robertson) Is back in Inverie with the new addition to the
Robertson clan, Struan a lovely wee lad that seems to be the apple of
his big sister Anna's eye.
Toby & his workmen are working away on Mark & Angela's new house,
located up behind the school. It's looking pretty-dam-good too!
Inverie is pretty quiet at this time of year, apart from the "Odd"
walker passing through. You'd need to be odd to walk in this weather.
Arrangements are well underway for a wedding in the village at New Year,
most accommodation is booked out for that time of year.
The really crazy people that would still like to come over should bring
a tent.
Myself and Ian Fleming are now members of the Parish of Glenelg, Mountain
Rescue Team.

I've included a couple of photographs of a Rescue Practise night, just
to brighten up the site.
The first snows have landed on us already,

photograph above (Only Joking) That was last year.
That's about all the "Gossip" for now. Speak to you all before
Christmas.
Regards, Drew, Jacqui & All at Kilchoan
