News Update Hello There Folks. I know it’s been a while since we updated but better late than never plus I had to wait until I had something worthwhile to inform you with. Rhona & Islay’s Pottery has been getting stockpiled for the oncoming season and work on their new tearoom is taking place as we speak. This is happening in the old Pier Store. The building when finished will combine both workshop & a place to enjoy at boat times or other. Fires There has been 2 serious fires this back-end & not to be repeated, I hope. On a lighter note, “Wee Sandy” from the pub has gone and got engaged to Aga on valentines day, over in her native Poland. (Another 1 bites the dust) Knoydart Arts Promotions are hosting a craft day on Saturday the 12th of April. Come & enjoy an afternoon in Inverie, watch or join in with local crafts folk. Eg: Stonemason, Lace making, Walking Sticks, Antler products………….and much more. Live Music during the day plus a session with Gary Innes & friends in the Old Forge at night. Mr. Billy Mackenzie (Arnisdale Ferry) is trying to establish a 1 day per week, regular ferry service to and from Knoydart. People visiting Knoydart can go & view Loch Hourn and Arnisdale, climb the beautiful munro Beinn Sgrieathall, visit Sandaig Bay-Loch Hourn (Gavin Maxwell – Ring of Bright-water fame)……..and more. |
