01/08/05 News Update
Well ! What's been happening since the last news?

Spring has come & gone & as we are now well into June, everything is in full flush of green.
Knoydart has had a steady flow of visitors since Easter and the Western Isles has been to capacity on at least 2 trips. This meant that some visitors were left stranded in Inverie until another boat was available to get them to Mallaig or they waited for the afternoon boat. My advice here would be if are arriving to Knoydart by the Western Isles this summer, get to Mallaig early.

The new pier is still in full swing, although we still cannot see any visible signs of the sub-structure coming out of the water yet. Four months until October?? I can never see it finished by then but will keep you all up to date on the progress.

The Kilchoan Stags are now looking a little bit better after the poor winter we had. Their summer coats are well on the way, plus their new antler growth, after casting in April.
The pub has a new member of staff, Nicola from Germany. We hope she enjoys the season.

Knoydart's home band "For Folks Sake", played a Ceilidh in aid of the Knoydart Games (1st Saturday In August) which had a fantastic turn-out and was a great night.
Thanks to Jacqui & Lynn for the organising of it & to all the band members; Andy, Steve, Merv, Anne-Marie, Kath, Big Rhona, Galen, Stephanie and any other locals whom I may have missed out.

Koa and Lynn have moved into Farm Bothy, Butcher has returned and appears to be in LOVE ??? Say no more! Ha ha The Bees have moved out of Farm Bothy but want to get back in. (Ongoing) Stephanie has had her induction week for entering Plockton School, Aaran & Catriona have finished their respective courses in teaching. They now await the letter to see where they're being placed in the Highland Region. Islay and Rhona have completed their Pottery & Ceramic course in Glasgow, they now hope to set up business in Inverie, pottery, workshop & tea-room.

No new photographs yet but I'll get something put on the site soon.
Yours Aye, Drew & Jacqui
