Rhona & Islay Miller have opened a new pottery shop & workplace in the old Pier Store. The crockery, teapots, milk jugs, bed-pans (Chanty -To us Scots).. etc that they are making are totally unique to Knoydart. If there are any of you out there thinking of getting someone a special present, then get hold of them through the following number. (01687460229) or millerrhona@yahoo.co.uk Rhona will send you down a flyer with some examples of their wares plus they will have a website up and running soon. I’ve included a few pictures of what they can “Throw Up”? at the bottom of the page.
August saw Stephanie Harris turn 18 years old. A great party took place between the Old Forge & the Old Byre Knoydart. Stephanie’s pals from the Plockton School entertained us with their wonderful musical talents and what a night we all had!
Stephanie now wants to travel for a year before college & is hoping to get on a yacht, to sail into the sunset. She’s at present in Glasgow getting her sea-survival, first aid & Fire Safety qualifications.

We had HANK WANGFORD (Remember him??) Country & Western singer of yester-year……..No?............ Well he’s still on the circuit in his spare time (Away from gynaecology) I know that this sounds like a leg-pull but it’s not! He and his partner entertained over 70 folks in Inverie village hall. Everyone got attired for the night, burgers & beans were served & his comic slant on the country song lyric went down a treat with the locals.
Inverie has two new boats arriving on the horizon. Kilchoan’s new coded Cheetah Marine Catamaran, Sula will be here in October plus Mr. Mark Woombs’ new Redbay-Rib will follow suit close behind.
Mark is hoping to open up the Inner & Outer Hebrides to visitors to Knoydart, while they reside in accommodation on the peninsula. These trips will mainly start in the 2008 season but Mark is open for business at anytime in the winter or close season too.

Stalking season for stags is in full swing until the 21st of October so please make sure you consult relevant landowners before setting out on a route to the tops.
Speak to you soon, Drew & Jacqui.
